Strehl GmbH & Co. KG is a Bremervörde-based pediatric rehabilitation-technology company operating under the rehaStrehl brand and represented in the network by Managing Director Björn Strehl. Over more than 30 years the firm has grown to more than 35 specialists working out of an emission-neutral headquarters in Lower Saxony, custom-fabricating mobility aids, orthoses, and assistive devices for children with special needs. The brand voice combines three pillars — precision engineering, human-centered care, and innovation — captured in the company’s own line: “Mit handwerklichem Können, praktischer Erfahrung und Leidenschaft für Kinder mit besonderen Bedürfnissen.”

The portfolio runs from seating and positioning orthoses, standing supports, walking aids, and hygiene devices through to two flagship product lines: the STREHL Cart, a 3D-scanned and crash-tested custom wheelchair certified to ECE R 129 (the only such custom seat-orthosis on the market), and STREHL Lab, a carbon-fibre lightweight programme built in part from A380 carbon offcuts supplied by Airbus. Strehl also participates as an industry partner in the BMBF-funded LEROSH research project (Lernende Roboterschleiftechnik für das Handwerk) on AI-supported robotic grinding for crafts, alongside Werk5 GmbH, DLR, Fraunhofer IWU, and Interactive Scape — placing the company at the intersection of traditional craft fabrication and emerging robotic and AI-supported manufacturing, a natural fit for the CyberCraft themes of the CCI Network.
