ODAV AG — Gesellschaft für Informatik und Telekommunikation is the IT partner of the German skilled trades, founded in Straubing in 1969 by the Chambers of Crafts of Niederbayern and the Oberpfalz as a shared service computing centre for craft enterprises. From a 16-person operation running payroll, bookkeeping and invoicing out of the Handwerkskammer’s training rooms, ODAV has grown into a 140-plus-employee, nationwide market leader in IT for craft organisations, serving over 1,000 enterprises, chambers of crafts, guilds and associations across Germany.
The company combines its own data-centre operations with consulting, hosting and managed services — from payroll and HR software to chamber-management systems, Citrix workspace solutions, web and email hosting, print-and-mailing, and outsourced administration.
