Additive Tectonics is a Design-to-Fabrication company founded in July 2020 in Lupburg, Bavaria, as a subsidiary of the FIT Additive Manufacturing Group. Its mission is to revolutionize the construction sector through architectural 3D printing — from vision to realization across art, architecture, and design. The company developed Germany’s (and reportedly the world’s) first production facility for industrially manufactured additive components for the construction sector, covering façades, walls, and roof structures.
Working together with architects, artists, engineers, and project developers, Additive Tectonics creates one-off building components ranging from radical geometries to optimized lightweight structures. The company covers the entire process chain for large-format components — from 3D model to finished building — and accompanies projects through every phase of design and delivery. A core proprietary technology is Selective Cement Activation (SCA), which bridges additive serial production and construction, enabling 3D printing at greater size and speed while allowing the use of sustainable material alternatives. Their philosophy: “Simulate before you fabricate.” Recent highlights include 500 columns for the Biennale Architettura 2025 in Castelleone, and selection for the DETAIL Award 2022.
