Volker Lindner · OTH Regensburg
Volker Lindner is Lehrkraft für besondere Aufgaben (Instructor for Special Tasks) at the Faculty of Architecture at OTH Regensburg and an Authorised Rhino Trainer. His teaching focuses on CAD and digital tools in architectural and produkt design — the technical and craft foundations on which the cybercraft seminars build.
After studying product design at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design, he designed products for the automotive and capital goods industries—such as steering wheels, bus seats, and power tools—from the initial concept through to 3d data ready for engineering. Some of these products have won design awards, including the highest honor in 2024—the “Red Dot Best of the Best” Award—for a circular saw.
For the past ten years, he has been passing on the knowledge he has accumulated over three decades to the next generation through Rhino training courses and at the Faculty of Architecture at OTH Regensburg.
He is happy to assist CCI members with any issues they may have with NURBS models—especially those related to free-form modeling and reverse engineering.
